Our Diocesan Priests
The Diocesan Priests of the Apostolic Vicariate of Soddo are at the heart of our mission to proclaim the Gospel and serve the people of God. Rooted in the local Church, these dedicated men have responded generously to the call of Christ, offering their lives in service to the spiritual and pastoral needs of our faithful.
Each of the 27 priests serves in diverse and often challenging contexts—parishes, mission stations, schools, social development programs, and pastoral ministries—bringing the light of Christ to both urban centers and remote rural communities. With deep faith, cultural sensitivity, and a spirit of humility, they journey with the people of Southern Ethiopia, promoting human dignity, peace, and the integral development of all.
Formed through rigorous theological, spiritual, and pastoral training, our diocesan clergy also continue to deepen their knowledge and skills to respond effectively to the signs of the times. They collaborate closely with religious congregations, lay leaders, and pastoral agents to build a vibrant, participatory Church rooted in the values of the Gospel.
