This Easter, we were truly blessed to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord with H.E. Bishop Dejene Hidoto and the entire team from the Social and Community Services (SCS). Easter is not only a sacred cornerstone of our Christian faith—it is a powerful reminder of God’s immense love, the triumph of life over death, and the promise of eternal hope.
Our celebration was filled with meaningful moments that brought together prayer, reflection, and acts of compassion. We organized various events that allowed us to commemorate the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and to extend Easter joy to those who are often overlooked—sharing meals, offering words of encouragement, and giving small gifts to the vulnerable and needy.
Bishop Dejene’s presence brought great spiritual enrichment to the occasion. His words reminded us that Easter is not just a date on the calendar, but a call to action—to carry the light of Christ into our homes, communities, and beyond. He expressed his joy in being with us, and encouraged us to live out the Easter message by being agents of hope, strength, and peace in a world that deeply needs it.
As we reflect on this holy season, we are grateful for the opportunity to come together in faith and fellowship. May the message of Easter continue to inspire us to love more deeply, serve more generously, and live more joyfully.
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
